Task skills

Claude-Red

Choose focused security-testing skills for authorized assessments, training and clear technical reports.

What is Claude-Red?

Prepared by LessAI Tools from public project documentation

Claude-Red is a collection of security-testing instructions for the Claude skills system. It groups skills by assessment area and includes guidance for reporting findings.

It is aimed at security practitioners and controlled learning environments, rather than ordinary code cleanup. Choose the relevant skills and define the test scope before use.

Claude-Red setup documentation

What you need

  • Use a compatible Claude skills environment and follow the official installation guide for the selected skills.
  • Prepare an explicitly authorized assessment scope or a controlled training lab. Individual workflows may require additional tools and access.

Limitations and costs

  • The repository provides instructions, not a universal one-click scanner. Results depend on the assistant, tools and test environment.
  • Security-testing workflows can affect systems. This site has reviewed public documentation and has not executed the library.

Claude-Red use cases

  • Select skills by area, including web applications, APIs, cloud environments and AI security.
  • Load the relevant skill instructions for the current assessment instead of the entire library.
  • Organize findings, supporting evidence, remediation advice and retest records.

Official project & documentation

The project’s original description

claude-red is a curated library of offensive security skills designed for the Claude skills system. Each skill is a structured SKILL.md file that primes Claude with expert-level methodology for a specific attack surface — from SQLi to shellcode, EDR evasion to exploit development.

Alternatives to Claude-Red for similar tasks

Matches the main use case first, then shared tasks and stars. Setup methods may differ.

  • Cloudflare Security Audit — Review a codebase for security problems, verify the evidence and separate confirmed findings from open questions.
  • Sentry Agent Plugin — Help AI set up monitoring, investigate production errors, and configure alerts using Sentry context.
  • AI Evals Skills — Find recurring errors in AI outputs and build reviewable evaluations.

Sources and ranking

This directory lists AI development plugins with public source code and a clear purpose. Browse by task, then open an introduction to learn what a project does, who it is for, and what you need to get started. It covers selected projects, not every AI plugin.

How do the three plugin types differ?

Tool connections (MCP) let AI assistants use external tools such as browsers, code repositories and databases. MCP is the protocol used for these connections.

Reusable skills give a compatible AI assistant instructions and guidance for a particular task.

Editor plugins run inside the software you use to write code, adding AI chat, completions or suggested edits.

How does “Most starred” work?

Projects are sorted by their total GitHub stars. Stars indicate interest; they are not downloads, active users or quality scores. A skill pack counts as one project. Daily star growth is not shown without historical records.

What does “Recently updated” mean?

It uses the most recent code push, which may not be a new release. The 7-day filter checks that project update time; ranking still uses all-time stars. Each introduction shows when its star count was collected. Failed updates keep the last saved data.

Introductions are based on public project documentation. These projects have not each been installed and tested here. Check the project documentation for setup, compatibility and service costs. Refreshing this list only reads saved data; it does not start collection.
