Task skills

Firecrawl Skills

firecrawl/skills

Task guides for an AI coding agent to search websites, read pages and integrate Firecrawl APIs.

What is Firecrawl Skills?

Prepared by LessAI Tools from public project documentation

Firecrawl Skills is the official distribution repository for Firecrawl task instructions. Choose core skills for web work during an agent session, build skills for adding API calls to an application, or workflow recipes for research. It complements the separately listed Firecrawl MCP server: skills provide instructions, while a service or tool performs the requests.

Firecrawl Skills setup documentation

What you need

  • Use an assistant that supports Agent Skills, such as Claude Code, Cursor or Codex.
  • Have a Firecrawl account or a self-hosted deployment; cloud requests require FIRECRAWL_API_KEY.

Limitations and costs

  • Installing the skills does not configure credentials or deploy the underlying service.
  • Authenticated pages still require authorized access; choose only the skills needed for the task.
  • Review extracted information and generated integration code before relying on them.

Firecrawl Skills use cases

  • Search, read and crawl web pages using the documented core skills.
  • Handle clicks, forms and dynamic pages with the interaction guides.
  • Follow language-specific documentation when adding Firecrawl APIs to a product.

Alternatives to Firecrawl Skills for similar tasks

Compare plugins for similar tasks and check their setup requirements.

  • OpenCLI — Give an AI assistant steps to operate websites through Chrome and create reusable OpenCLI commands.
  • Webcmd — Let AI operate a browser and reuse documented navigation steps.
  • Agent Browser — Give AI a browser for navigation, forms, and screenshots.

Sources and ranking

This directory lists AI development plugins with public source code and a clear purpose. Browse by task, then open an introduction to learn what a project does, who it is for, and what you need to get started. It covers selected projects, not every AI plugin.

How do the three plugin types differ?

Tool connections (MCP) let AI assistants use external tools such as browsers, code repositories and databases. MCP is the protocol used for these connections.

Reusable skills give a compatible AI assistant instructions and guidance for a particular task.

Editor plugins run inside the software you use to write code, adding AI chat, completions or suggested edits.

How does “Most starred” work?

Projects are sorted by their total GitHub stars. Stars indicate interest; they are not downloads, active users or quality scores. A skill pack counts as one project.

What does “Recently updated” mean?

It uses the most recent code push, which may not be a new release. The 7-day filter checks that project update time; ranking still uses all-time stars. Each introduction shows when its star count was collected.

Introductions are based on public project documentation. These projects have not each been installed and tested here. Check the project documentation for setup, compatibility and service costs.
